BOB Stroller Choking Hazard Recall

Two choking hazard recalls have been issued for BOB Strollers.

The first recall was in February of 2011. This recall involves a drawstring on the stroller that can get wrapped around a child’s neck, posing a strangulation hazard.

Another recall issued October 11, 2011 involves strollers with Embroidered Canopy Logo Backing Patches. The stroller canopy’s embroidered logo’s backing patch can detach, posing a choking hazard to babies and young children and must be removed to safely use the stroller.

BOB Stroller Recall Lawyer

B.O.B. has received six reports of children putting the patch in their mouths. Two incidents involved gagging and choking.

What To Do:

For the drawstring recall consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and remove the drawstring. If using a separately purchased Weather Shield or Sun Shield accessory with the recalled stroller, contact B.O.B. Trailers for a free canopy retrofit kit.

For the patch recall consumers are asked to immediately stop using the recalled strollers until they remove the backing patch from the interior of the canopy.
