01/13/2009- In June 2006 USA saw the launch of the vaccine Gardasil by Merck. This vaccine was hailed as the wonder vaccine because it helps protect young girls from HPV, a sexually transmitted disease which can lead to Cervical Cancer. Parents and professionals saw this vaccine as a medical breakthrough in the fight against cervical cancer which claims 273,000 lives each year worldwide.
Two years on, was the vaccine the success that we had all hoped it would be or were the general public led up yet another proverbial garden path?
Firstly does Gardasil do all we were led to believe? In truth we do not know because cervical cancer can take up to ten years to develop. Secondly what are the long term effects of Gardasil? Again we do not know as Gardasil had limited research before the FDA and the CDC approved it for use,. In fact on 27th June 2006 just days after the vaccine was released for use in the USA The National Vaccine Information Center advised the CDC's Advisory Committee to Vaccine Practices to say 'no' to recommending this vaccine universally to all pre adolescent girls because Merck's clinical trials did not prove Gardasil to be safe to give young girls. Were the NVIC correct in their advice? A cursory look through these letters of warning makes you seriously wonder if we can ever trust the CDC or FDA ever again
VAERS or Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System reports details of 30 deaths following the Gardasil vaccine these deaths include
293388 — death certificate from funeral home which states COD as brain death due to cerebral herniation and meningoencephalitis. (NOTE: patient received HPV & Menactra on 5/10/2007.)
320910 — The patient's mother told to the physician that her daughter died in her dorm room 4 days after receiving the dose.
325814 — The patient was told that the leukemia was treatable however on 25-JUN-2008 the patient passed away. (NOTE: physician mentioned that something had to trigger the onset and the reporter believed that it was GARDASIL.)
282747 — physician who attended a conference that mentioned two patients who were vaccinated with Gardasil. Subsequently the patients died. The cause of death not reported.
These were beautiful young woman with their whole lives in front on them, each one of them has had their life tragically and abruptly cut short after having a vaccine that the public had been told over and over was safe.A vaccine, two years on we are now being told may not have been as safe as we were led to believe.
How many times are the public going to be lied to by Governments and by drug companies? We have seen in the 1970's and 80's the Whooping Cough Vaccine which was part of the DPT vaccine brain damage and kill thousands of children.
The Governments at the time were warned by eminent professionals such as Prof Gordon Stewartwho wrote several article and papers, he wrote many letters to the Government stating his fears.
In recent years we have learned that Thimerosal a Mercury based preservative being used in many vaccines was actually dangerous and leading to the brain damage, epilepsy and the death of many youngsters. We have since learned that Eli Lilly had included it in their vaccines after again doing restricted and inadequate research. They in fact tested it originally, on just 20 terminally ill patients, all of whom later died, Eli Lilly knew this before adding it to their vaccines.for use on the general public.
There are now growing fears surrounding the MMR, a mutiple vaccine which is now believed to cause Autism. Twenty years after this vaccine has been in use there are more Autistic children worldwide than ever before.
How can we trust the Governments and drug companies when over and over the evidence speaks for itself? Professionals try voicing their fears only to be trampled down and ruined professionally as a result of speaking out. Dr Andrew Wakefield is a perfect example of this. His case continues at the General Medical Council in England because during his research he made the connection between the MMR and a bowel condition in some of his patients who were autistic and included this research in the Lancet medical journal.
Lisa Blakemore-Brown is another professional who has been descredited and had her career ruined for speaking out. She has written many letters, papers and articles stating that she feared that vaccines were the cause of the rise in Autism and related disorders, often leading to, she believed, their parents being blamed for their children's disabilities.
So is it safe to have our children vaccinated ?
Cerarvix the Uk's equivalent to the Gadaasil vaccine has been used for just three months and already we are seeing a similar pattern emerging of children being injured. The case of Ashleigh Cave is just one example. Here was a young healthy girl aged just 12years. One shot of Cerarvix ended her in hospital paralyzed.3 months on she remains in hospital seriously ill.
