Dometic Refrigerator Fire Recall:
Several Dometic refrigerator fires have been reported throughout the United States. The fires have been found to be caused by a small stress crack that can develop in the boiler tube. This stess crack can cause a release of the ammonia refrigerant solution which if exposed to a source of ignition may cause a fire to occur.

Norcold Refrigerator Fire Recall:
In 2002 Norcold Inc., of Sidney, Ohio, voluntarily recalled 360 free-standing, combination gas and electric refrigerators. Tubing in the cooling unit can crack and leak flammable gas, presenting a fire and burn hazard to consumers.
