Essure Women Should Retain Attorneys Now To Protect Their Rights
Women who are considering filing a claim for an Essure-related injury should act swiftly in retaining an attorney to ensure their rights are protected. It is particularly urgent for women who have undergone removal surgery prior to September 24, 2015 to retain counsel immediately as your statute of limitations or time frame in which to file a lawsuit will likely expire on September 24, 2017. At least one Judge in California, where the majority of the Essure claims will likely be filed, has made a tentative ruling indicating the statute of limitations period likely began to start running as of the September 24, 2015 FDA hearing. Accordingly, women whose removal surgeries occurred prior to this time are particularly vulnerable to being barred by the statute of limitations periods if their claims are not filed prior to September 24, 2017 and must seek counsel immediately.
